Monday- 11am-7:30pm
Tuesday- 9am-11:30am; 12:30pm-8pm
Wednesday- 9am-8pm
Thursday- 10:30am-8pm
Friday- 10am-8pm
Saturday- 10am-5:30pm
Sunday- 10am-3pm
Over the past three years, the TCNJ CARES program has received increased requests from students to provide emergency aid to those struggling to eat consistently or find adequate housing; especially during times when the College is on extended breaks. National data further suggests that nearly 30-40% of college students have some level of food insecurity. These factors motivated us to open The SHOP@TCNJ. We believe that by providing food to our campus and the local community that we will be addressing at least one of our basic needs.
For students, this type of support can decrease the barriers preventing them from peak performance both in and out of the classroom. Additionally, it has the potential for individuals to build connections to more sustainable, long-term resources such as the Dean of Students Office, Mercer Street Friends, NJ SNAP, WIC, or other campus or human service agencies.
We are extremely grateful to President Kathryn Foster for her support in moving this important initiative forward, the Mercer Street Friends Food Bank for which we are a partner agency and who has guided us throughout these efforts, and to Chief Timothy Grant and the PRC Group for their support of the program.

The SHOP is located on the north side of Building 700 on Campus Town Drive, next to the fitness center. It is ADA accessible and has parking directly in front of the building.
